The band is basically a chamber orchestra with singers. Reminds me of Local Natives or Fleet Foxes occasionally. Experiments with different styles and tunes. All good. My favorites are 7, 5, 12, 10, 1+2. FCC clean.
*1. Overture (2:11)- Strings building up to an ultimatum, leading into next song
*2. Fireflies (3:56)- Play with #1. Steady pace, determined. Reminds me of Local Natives
3. Sanctuary (3:21)- Quiet, creeping. Becomes warmer and pretty later on, then dramatic at end
4. Drown Me in the River (2:21)- slight jazzy feel to this piece. Strings bring it back to typical style at end
**5. Kathryn (3:21)- Drum roll please. Then a waltz led by the accordion
6. Just to See Her Smile (2:58)- Repetitive lyrics during multiple build-ups. Carried away by the strings. Stops at 7 sec
**7. Alligator Teeth (3:28)- Eerie fade in, delicate vocals. Then a determined, marching tune. On a hunt! Trumpet, sax, and viola interplay at end. Really cool!
8. Rabbit Run (3:49)- Quiet guitar picking at beginning. Picks up to a quick folksy tune. Slow and eerie at end
9. Waltz (3:01)- Interlude. Tip toeing, playful. Blends together and picks ups
*10. For Papa (4:21)- Mixture of jazz and folk. Slow and calming. Picks up and then turns into a 70s disco-like tune
11. These Things (3:12)- Delicate and pretty. Tempo alternates from slow to moderately fast constantly
*12. Serpent Tongues (6:03)- Hauntingly beautiful string intro. Marching, determined tune after. Local Natives once again. Quiet, eerie string fade out starting at 30 sec
