Dark, electronic ambient/pop. “Harsh winter wastelands” by Georgian musician and songwriter, Natalie Beridze. Late night reflective songs of solitude and sorrow with pop structures and textural experimentation. Tracks could reach a wider audience (for example track 9) if there were consonant resolutions or hooks -- as is, it stands squarely in a “weird,” slightly unnerving camp. The vocals feature ample delay and reverb, producing an airy soft female lullaby effect. Overall it may sound along the lines of To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie, Portishead, or Bowery Electric. No FCCs noted. 1. Distortion avalanche. Instrumental. (0:50) *2. Dark yearning, near trip-hop feel and late-night glimmering. (5:53) 3. Industrial clang, whispered, twisted vocals, and processed heavy electronics. (5:03) 4. Bare vocals and bass before loud sequenced beats come in. Very subtle incorporation of melody. (6:32) *5.
