Found sound recordings of radio call in’s, phone, hidden microphones, interviews with junkies, asylum inhabitants, police interrogations, etc. Disturbing stuff. All layered over minimal high end low-fi old school industrial noise, reeking of the smell of a cassette 4-track or TEAC ¼”. Did I say disturbing? From the school of early Throbbing Gristle, Culturcide, Hunting Lodge, God Bullies. Beautiful stuff. Required listening for anyone who has lived a comfortable safe bullshit lie-ife and probably will forever. Best part is it comes via Byrd, a guy he knows, former KFJC guy. The stuff that got your imaginary friend kicked off kzsu last summer (and inspires him to come back.) Produced by Thomas DiMuzio. 1) (2:00) very disturbing low fi drone noise with a female voice-over describing sociopathic violence and murder 2) (2:14) another voice over: an interview with a disturbed clinically depressed woman, treated in a looping sick way, sad and sick, with minimal sick noise, talking about the resurgence of electro shock therapy 3) (4:53) quiet droney noise, recorded telephone call, disgruntled woman goes on about crooks in the media and corporate America/Canada 4) (3:18) FCCs FCCs FCCs drug talk, woman junkie talking about quitting, perfect, very minimal soundbed, f-bombs, worth safe harbor for sure cuz it’s a good commentary on being a junkie, not the usual bullshit preaching by know-nothing Christians and AA/NA drones 5) (4:00) male who is committed going on a rant, completely insane, minimal soundbed 6) (5:01) more stuff about treatment of mental illness, insanity, using electro shock treatment, my god an interview with a patient, ugh… a continuation of track 2 (play this one after you’ve played #2, later in your show) 7) (5:27) FCCs FCCs FCCs, hostile and so creepy its barely listenable (all put over a police scanner) DO NOT play on the radio, not even in safe harbor thank you very much, OMG I just realized the sick bastard talking is a fucking cop!!! this is indeed an “interrogation” (where did he GET THIS?!?!?) 8) (3:59) a beautiful drone, voiceover stream of consciousness, perfect antisocial commentary on the world in which we live | ||
