A Turn In The Dream-Songs

Lewis has a very playful vocal delivery, much like Jonathan Richman, with equally quirky lyrics, very thought-provoking. He’s from N.Y. and is also a comic artist. It’s psyche, folk, rock, singer / songwriter stuff. Guitar, bass, drums, keys. This stuff is unbelievably GREAT! No FCC’s.

*My Favorites*: To tough to single out a few - they’re all great.

1. (4:52) Mid. Monotonous lyrical delivery over really beautiful guitar, percussion, violin, sax.
2. (2:13) Mid. Quick-paced lyrics. Guitar, vocal, clipped drum beat, backing vocals.
3. (4:16) Mid. Easy-going song with mandolin, guitar, plodding beat.
4. (1:36) Mid. Spacey keys, a bit of percussion, maybe a guitar and that’s it.
5. (3:26) Mid. Plodding beat, easy-going, great lyrics, great instrumentation of guitar, bass, drums. Great stuff.
6. (2:37) Mid / Fast. Upbeat. Rambling stuff about him being a ‘cult boyfriend’ with lots of cultural references. Fucking GREAT!
7. (6:06) Slow / Mid. Acoustic guitar and vocal. Song about Krongu green slime and some other stuff. Great lyrics.
8. (2:32) Mid. Upbeat, driving beat, backing vocals, cool guitar solo toward end.
9. (2:35) Slow / Mid. Easy-going song, very poignant lyrics about being by yourself, quite funny. Great.
10. (5:54) Mid / Fast. Quick guitar, quick lyrical delivery. Another GREAT story-song, with a great electric guitar near the end.
11. (1:27) Mid. Spacey keys, guitar, percussion, way the fuck out there.
12. (5:01) Sl;ow / Mid. Acoustic guitar, soft vocal. percussion. Song about water. Electric guitar enters with about 1:45 remaining, cool.
13. (2:13) Mid. Folky, easy-going with acoustic guitar, bass, drums, female backing vocal.
14. (1:00) Silence.
15. (2:25) Mid / Fast. Hidden song. Rap about a mosquito with heavy beat, keys, disturbing violin. Great.
