PALEFACE "ONE BIG PARTY" -- Acoustic rock. Lightweight
Peter, Paul and Mary. Lots of strumming and simple vocals. Rather boring and repetitive, but has its moments.
Best Tracks: 5, 7, 9, 10, 4, 6. -- Sunshine January 2011
1) You Will Get What You Want -- Simple rock guitar chords. Upbeat. Happy.
2) She's So -- Talking about some girl. He's in love with "her". Foiksy. Lotsa strumming. Rather boring. I hear someone who reminds me of Jack Black!
** 3) One Big Party -- Female vocals. Pretty harmonies. Slightly haunting. Redundant.
*** 4) Rock N Roll -- Upbeat, chugga, chugga. Boys are back in town. Harmonize with girls. Piano adds a little something. Super lightweight Old School rock'n'roll. Very simple.
**** 5) Understand The Man -- Vocals are deeper-pitched and rhythm is more fun. Lyrics are cute. "I do what I want. I'm not trying to be cool. LaLaLaLa. . . ." Harmonica adds.
*** 6) Analyze It -- Mid tempo. Light psychological/philsophical banter. Message?
*** 7) You Gotta Move On -- Uptempo folksy, bluesy ditty. Kind of grabs you after awhile.
** 8) See You When The Sun Goes Down -- Country, folksy . . . almost player-piano feel.
*** 9) I Wanna Travel -- Slow. Riding horses back home at day's end. Raspy vocals. Harmony and harmonica.
*** 10) Kansas It's Not -- Acoustic guitar sound like the old auto-harp. Improves after awhile. Vocals and lyrics have some personality.
