fabric 51- mixed by DJ T. Not familiar with him, but from the promo sheet it sounds like he's from germany, and has worked with Booka Shade, who I dig.
This is soulful house, at points gets lounge-ish, but mostly uplifting. Good for club-style DJs. THE TRACKS ARE MADE TO RUN CONSECUTIVELY - NO FADEOUTS.
POSSIBLE FCC #5- suggestive vocals
RECOMMENDED TRACKS: 1, 6, *7*
***1- 3:52 this is upbeat, euphoric, and anthemic at various parts. moving and recommended. soulful male vocals throughout.
**2- 2:35 a bit more progressive-ish than #1, with minimal vocals. conga/world accents.
***3- 4:00 continues with the world percussion, even more deeply here. has a sample of unintellegible inebriated conversation in a few spots. transitions to more uplifting/synth/progressive sound
4- 6:25 synth keyboard with slightly distorted male world vocals... "celebration!" distorted sax solo starts around 1:55. transitions to bigger synth keyboard/"sax" sound with echoish world vocals. this was fairly cheesy and my least favorite track.
**5- 3:14 POSSIBLE FCC disco influenced. repeated spoken word vocals "paging mr. jack!" much more moving than #4. 1:45 "sexy" male vocals, actually sounds a bit porn-ish.
***6- 4:40 hip-hop/new jack swing/disco beat. high, spacey synth notes throughout. occasional improvised male soul vocals. groovy, makes you feel like shooting a toy ray-gun or playing with lightsticks
***7- 5:24 faster paced, swinging, syncopated beat. this one really kicks ass and compels the body to move. repeated spoken word mantra in spots: "definition". ends with super groovy piano riffs. simply amazing.
