Local hard rockers/Metal dudes that play the “party” style (note the titles like “Nomadic Metal Skate Gypsies”, “The Party’s At Lighting Rock, Bro”). They certainly can play but & has its moments but some of this comes off as both trying too hard and too little. “Metal” for those who would otherwise wouldn’t venture 500 ft. within a Venom record. Works better live in short a whole lotta OK with a few small sparks.
(((1))) Intro that says sound exactly like what it says. Manages to capture the tonality of the intro from Metallica’s “Fight Fire With Fire”.
(((2))) Bunch of OK riffs, some hammer ons, so-so vocals,
(((3))) Fast noodly, “discount ‘Maiden”-like instrumental.
((((4)))) Slow moody then chunky riffing & some decent drumming. Second half gets speedy, shouty & disjointed. A faster version of Torche?
((((5)))) Restrained intro then a bunch of good riffs and few short & unneeded vocal phrases.
(((6))) Bass and jagged rhythm with a few nicks from the beginning of Slayer’s “Final Command” and then more chunky riffs that do ok but sounded really forced.
((7)) Bassy intro, then lazy jam that repeats the same lazy riff for nearly 2 minutes. Nicks the end of “Iron Man” and stretches it out to a…well, boring instrumental.
(((8))) Hard n’ heavy riffing and then some fast tempos that get stuck in the middle and flat sounding yet again.
