Snake Rattle Rattle Snake “EP”: Dark, ambient music with two sets of drums and some droning, indifferent female vocals. There’s a definite darkness to the music, but the best moments come when a sense of badass indignant elation lifts the songs. All in all, a dark but listenable Siouxsie and the Banshees throw-back (with a really cool CD case…).
No FCCs; Start with 2, 3, 4; basil
1) Steady does it! No real builds, just consistent, cold badassness
2) ** Bitchin ‘80s snare + explorational guitar => elation & catharsis
3) *“In the dark we don’t know who is who!!” oooh how exciting! Lot’s of angry, desperate energy in the vocals and the drumming.
4) ** Cool distorted noise pulls & pushes against chunky guitar chords & bass. Disgruntled lyrics: “I shoulda known I shoulda known!!”
