Here are the best of the French singles we received for September from the Francophonie Diffusion network. Music from France and French-speaking countries. Not strictly an official compilation, so please mention the names of the CDs the tracks are from.
1. Renan Luce “La Fille de la Bande” from the CD “Les Clan Des Miros.” 3:52 Bright & breezy midtempo indie pop. Quriky, catchy, & cool.
2. Tigane “Le Temps d’une Chanson” from the CD “Hedonisme” 3:27 Fun and summery 80’s-infused happiness. Mid/uptone.
3. RLS featuring Sandra Godoy “Festa” from the album “Festa” 3:46 Uptempo Brizilian carnivale samba w/lots of style.
4. Mikea “Niny” from the CD “Taholy” 3:50 Sweet and warm Afro pop, relaxed with delicious male vocals & light strings.
5. M “Le Roi des Ombres” from the CD “Mister Mystere” 2:57 Downtempo and hip urban electronic pop w/sexy male vox.
6. Chinese Man “I’ve Got This Tune” from the CD “The Groove Sessions, Vol. 1” 4:32. Starts like a speakeasy, gets into a slinky midtempo groove mash. So cool.
