Two-piano free-jazzy excursions with some influence from classical music. Dynamic and compelling. It doesn't have the lyricism or prettiness of the recent Chick Corea/Hiromi two-piano disk, but that's not a bad thing.
- (11:40) Ooo! Clacky prepared piano! A quiet patch, then sparsely dancing melody, colorful and bright. Turns into a flurry after about -3:30.
- (12:22) Fast pouding, sternly jazzy. Second half gets serious, even classical: mostly quiet but builds to loud hammering later.
- (11:22) Introspective, slow, with interesting touches -- e.g. shimmering sounds of fingers rubbing the piano strings. Last three minutes turn into a fast swirl, almost like a race.
- (12:37) Fairly fast, jazzy rolling. A steady jog almost all the way through. Would be pretty easy to fade in/out for an excerpt. Last couple of minutes get quiet.
- (6:23) Serious, stern. Hammering at the finish. Ends with applause.
