Singer-songwriter bluesy folk music; self-recorded and self-mixed by Turney (and within a span of 24 hours!). All of the songs (except for track 4) are acoustic pieces sung by Myles Turney. Sounds like a lo-fi Jose Gonzalez with Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) type vocals (especially 2 and 5). Each song is very different and the whole mix is worth a listen. My picks are 2, 5, and 3(with FCC). Reviewed by Tatiana 1. upbeat acoustic song; very folk/country type stuff that would be played at a ho-down; loud strumming 2. ** slow and sweet; melodic voice with a soft acoustic melody. 3. *FCC (ass, shit); play this if your show is during safe harbor!; lyrics about Virgin Mary and Jesus; “if you looked deep inside your heart you’d know that God just wants us to have a tan” 4. instrumental; peaceful piano piece; slow with ; ends with a crash (sounds like someone tripped on the drum set) 5. **warm and quick guitar backing up vocals; kind of a sad toned vocals | ||
