Lightly and lushly proggy songs with long instrumental breaks. Really nice stuff, but there's a sameness to the tracks that starts wearing you down after a while. In particular, there are long passages of two guitars playing in lock-step harmony -- really nice, very pretty stuff, obviously well prepared. Great to listen to. But when it comes up for the sixth or seventh time on the album, the idea starts to wear down.
Still -- definitely deserves spins. It's got an easy, mystical, fantastical sound with maybe a touch of Ren Faire-ness. Emphasis is on an overall atmosphere, not on solos or guitar/keyboard-hero antics, so maybe the prog comparison isn't entirely accurate.
