METALUX and JOHN WEISE - "Exoteric" CD (Load)
A team made in hell for sure. Chicago based female improv/noise duo METALUX and WEISE who's been in SUNN0)) and BASTARD NOISE team up to create some harsh, loud noise. There is still a feeling of improvisation and some of the childlike/demented female spoken vocals that METALUX usually has. Lots of tape manipulation sounds but also some that could be laptop effects making tape manipulation sounds. Feedback and harsh static. When there are vocals the tracks get dark and demented.
1. Rumbling electricity noises and static. Repetitive noise and vocals towards the end.
**2. Manipulated vocals and what sounds like uncontrollable noise.
3. Shorter, harsher, female vocal noises and some male(?) vocals.
4. Quieter beginning and what sounds like plugging and unplugging a guitar. Some VERY harsh moments and some quiet moments.
5. Tapes? Low rumbles.
**6. Loops, almost sounds like records. Busy.
**7. Low rumble. Factory/machinery type noises. Harshness comes and goes. Vocals like a kid singing to themselves.
Good stuff -mph
