Swedish Black Metal stalwarts with an excellent work that mixes crushing slow parts and blasting speed. Intense vocals & solid drumming throughout. There’s also a nice dark ambient collaboration with fellow Swedes Arditi. The title refers to the biblical book of Romans chapter 5, passage 12: “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned."
((((1)))) Slow intro then mid-paced to slow tempos with winding riff & teeth clenched vox.
(((((2))))) Pummeling, violent & fast Black Metal that explodes af 0:45. Awesome & totally possessed vocals and drumming.
(((3))) Slow, descending, rockin’ & pretty steady. Not far from recent Satyricon. Drags on a little too long
(((((4))))) KICK ASS! Back to the bombast. Amazingly fast BM with vocals that jump around in different channels. Bonus points for the killer bass breakdown.
(((((5))))) Creepy dark ambient/martial drumming mixed with slow blackened vocals. Total Halloween soundtrack.
(((((6))))) Starts with a killer mix of drums and a long growl then blasts like no tomorrow. A total “killer bees” effect on the guitars. Awesome!
((((7)))) A “holy mass” interrupted by a long doomy riff with a “duet” with frontman Mortuus’ blackened tone and former vocalist Joakim's classic metal vox. The mass outro is just too long.
((((((8)))))) “Orrruuuurrrrgghggrraaaaaaggh!” Fast, fast, evil, evil! Repeat 666 times.
((((9)))) An odd but pretty interesting change up. Imagine “Justice-era” Metallica & Candlemass through a big-ass black metal filter.
(((((10))))) Fades up after a few secs and shoots out a torrent of blast beats. The way the bassist follows the guitars is incredible. Like a Black Metal Iron Maiden playing a 1000 mph. Ends with a long bit of holy chanting & a dirge.
