Collection of UK artists, tape manipulators, sample-artists, noise-rocksters, electro-bashers. Quiet stuff too, all very interesting. Spoken word heavy. FCCs: 1, 15 My picks: 3, 5, 11
1) FCC
2) butt-rock spoof with silly vocals, watch false ending at 1:15 remaining
3) treated spoken word/samples under slow, simple electro/near-industrial rock feel, cool
4) sampled piano melody, sorta indie rock feel vocals, dream-pop noise elements, slow looped hypnotic
5) beat box element, spoken word/voice sample heavy, interesting stuff for sure
6) ethereal female vocs over lush synths, very 4AD’ish
7) Beatles “re-mix”, sample art of Strawberry Fields, mostly just echo/loops, yawn but trippy for sure if that’s what yer looking for
8) very distorted spoken word with noise, faucet sounds
9) strange vocs, Scott Walker on Quaaludes, with minimal acoustic guitar
10) spoken word, with minimal noises
11) minimal sounds and spoken word for 1st minute, then a downtempos/hip hop beat appears, samples/spoken word collage over/under the beats, tones
12) sound collage, sample art from television
13) starts like 12 but uses some downtempo music too
14) bad hip hop MC’ing, makes MC Lars sound good, yikes, yuck!
15) FCCs
16) silly childlike folk, brief
