Heavy/death metal from St. Louis. Sounds like a mix of Carcass and 90’s “groove metal” like Exhorder or even Pantera at times. Unfortunately there’s little to no variation in the vocals but overall it’s runs from “just OK” to on really good in other places.
(((1))) Decent sorta thrashy death metal.
(((2))) Thudding, pretty fast guttural DM with some decent melodic parts.
((3)) Lots of jud-judding but falls flat with it’s over reliance on standard, well-worn formulas.
(((4))) Some interesting changes but all else in kinda “samey”.
((((5))) Pretty rad, dense DM that seems to slag (St. Louis Cardinals player) Albert Pujols’ Christianity. Metal definitely needs more baseball songs.
(((6))) Jagged riffs & structure with lots of growling & shouting. A little better than it sounds on paper.
((7)) Drum solo! (?)
(((8))) Good & gurgly DM with some sharp and often speedy riffing.
((((9)))) Fast & crusty (!??) hardcore ‘ala Genocide Superstars mixed with groove metal.
((10)) Fast to thick & chunky guitars really modern sounding stuff – often to the point of annoying.
((((11)))) Slowish jazzy, psych drift instrumental with bits of metal-ish guitars. Interesting & compelling. Another baseball song? Maybe it’s about Estaban Louiza from the Yankees?
