Who says the Blues is a strictly American art form? This release proves that the Nile River Delta is a close cousin to the Mississippi River Delta. Great stuff across the board. This is serious, solid blues w/a definite world flavor, one star each track. As Byrd would say, “this is the shit!”

1. Driving midtempo swamp groove. So good.
2. Midtempo roadhouse romp w/great guitar/harp/vox.
3. Lazy acoustic blues in Spanish w/fem vox/harp/guitar.
4. Rock beat, solid electric guitar solo, lazy vox.
5. Habib Koite & Bonnie Raitt. Enough said. (midtempo)
6. Upbeat Chicago blues w/serious organ/guitar backing.
7. A classic! Otis Spann, Muddy Waters, James Cotton. Yow!
8. Relaxed gospel blues w/cool piano/guitar/vox.
9. Way cool midtempo blues walk.
10. Wicked downtempo slide guitar & vocal track.
11. Arabic-flavored blues, mostly midtempo.
