Utility Project - 1'32" (Indiana Arts Commission)

Experimental constructs - non-songs, but not un-fun. Kinky and cool. All but one track are between 1:26 and 1:54 (track 13 is 2:06). Now, here's the concept: the chord progression for each track is determined by spelling out people's names with a chart that pairs letters to keys. The first track is Juanita Blanche, for whatever that's worth. If you're ever bored to tears, you can do the rest! A chart on the inside of the sleeve lists chords and describes each song, or at least what each song is made of (however, the last 10 or so don't seem to match.) Lyrics (at www.utilityproject.net) are as odd as everything else about the record.
FCC: "ass" track 5; "sure as hell" track 18; "damn good" and "fuck it all" track 24.
I like track 21, 7 and 19; 9 is pretty funny, 17 is a bit spaghetti-westernish, 26 features some really gnarly noise. 30 is about being on ham radio, but it's extremely un-musical. 31 is random noises, 32 mostly silence.
