Psyche experimental creativity on his 4th album. Seems all of a piece like Sleep's Jerusalem and could be seen as variations. Tracks I-X follow a pattern: chord progresn repeats til for 3min with no variation nor leads,then breakdown into drone, too harsh to call ambient, abrupt end(bleeds into next), no bass. No voice, some prog beats, NIN harshness, trebly chord based. NOT a sound I have heard before. Challenging! 1) fuzzed guitars buss, joined by offbeat drums, intensity survives as a drone 2) like 1, but proggy beats 3) less harsh, still driving distorted guits, slips into jagged drone 4)* prog beat, driving further 5) simple piledriver beat, chords keep ringing out 6)* more of a standard rock tume, very std drums, til buzzy space insect 7) prog beat, fuzzed chords 8) bass riff for a change, the guitars drone 9)* 3beat cross beats 10)* heavy warp drive 11) soundscape drones throughout 12) continues 11 | ||
