Andrew Bird is the pitch perfect, singer, violinist, guitarist, scarf wearing whistler who has become the darling of the underground songwriting world. He is a brilliant composer and has a knack for layering and orchestrating songs but keeping them sounding open and simple. His voice reminds me of Jeff Buckley at times weaving between registers with pitch perfection. This album is very dynamic with subtle ballads and rocking stompers alike with clever lyrics throughout. Check it out yo! –the bAWd of eUPHONY
