Crazy! Mostly slashing and aggressive, with a tight horn section and some big, distorted guitar that turns some tracks into mini rock operas (without words, of course) -- 1, 15, and 16 being good examples. Other tracks take advantage of the large band to back otherwise reasonable jazzy riffs with distracting madness and noise -- very cool! (5, 13). It's an awesome sound, but they sometimes overdo it -- tracks 3 and 7 are just one big blur. Highly recommended overall, though.

Avoid 4, 6, 8, 11 -- they're either pure silence or really close.

- Big, lumbering, mildly evil. Definite rock influence.
- Swaggering, warbly riff. Loud, slowish, grand.
- Fast loud blur, everyone playing (and stopping on a dime)
- Quiet, relaxing tones backed by fast, cluttery improv
- Free jazz explosion!
- Very sparse. Slow guitar and, later, clarinet.
- Mid/fast and a bit crazy. Descends into total chaos.
- Quiet, sparse improv.
- Simple riff and solos, backed by mad buzzing percussion. Cool and nervous at once.
- Sparse improv again. Eerie feel towards the end.
- Upbeat, rockin' stomp.
- Loud, clean horn lines and grinding industrial guitar. A mini-epic.
