acoustic and live. My Morning Jacket, in this incarnation, reminds me a lot of some of the Red House Painters/ Sun Kil Moon stuff. the singer’s voice is pure and soars in the same way that Mark Kozelek (of RHP)’s does. the applause at the beginning and end of songs is annoying, but the sound is pretty good overall. I really can’t understand most of what he’s singing about, but that’s not what’s carrying these songs. -Adrian 1. starts soft and builds in intensity. gets softer, repeat, drums, perhaps electric guitar in the mix 2. slide guitar glides under vox, keyboards 3. echoey voice dominates over a single guitar. 4. vox and guitar, nice falsetto at the end 5. slower, soft, guitar and vox. | ||
