If you don’t love this music, you have no soul. Period. The latest release from these masters of South African gospel amply showcases their gorgeous, almost other-worldly vocal harmonies. Most songs sung in Zulu, and every track worth about 3-stars each. It’s all a capella, mostly relaxed & low-key, but with a tremendous energy & sense of spirit. Their music could make even a cynic like me believe in a higher power. Truly fabulous.
1. Sweet, rich, warm & low-key. Just beautiful.
2. Incredible clicking sounds make this extra fascinating.
3. Gorgeous call-response track featuring leader Joseph Shabalala.
4. More of those great clicks. How do they do that? Plus cool backing noises.
5. Warm & soothing w/nice interplays of call/response.
6. Cool blend of percussive vocal sounds & sweet soloist.
7. Gently swaying & sweet song in praise of the child.
8. Wonderful vocal trills, clicks, and perfect harmonies.
9. Call/response w/interplays of clicks & percussive breathing.
10. English lyrics. Sweet, gentle song of African pride.
11. English lyrics. “Music knows no bounds.”
12. Anti-drunk driving song. Bi-lingual. Catchy.
13. Children rapping in honor of a late grandma. Sweet.
