[coll:] DROP THE DEBT
World Village, 2003

A grab-bag of world music, in support of the movement to cancel the crippling debts of third-world nations. Many countries now spend more repaying old loans than they do on education, health care, and other essential services. Most of the tracks here were composed especially for this collection. Proceeds from the album benefit a network of organizations (such as Jubilee USA – www.jubileeusa.org) working for debt reduction.
