Pretty and campy, Weiss and orchestra do a Boston Pops thang with musical saw solos throughout. If you don't know what a musical saw is, listen to this, or think theremin, if you don't know what a theremin sounds like, listen to "Good Vibrations", or think musical saw. A musical saw is a regular saw that you play like an instrument. Sounds better than most of what's in your toolbox, Moe!staino notwithstanding. Re-release of a mid-80s LP, with good liner notes- read an excerpt over the music.
12.familiar classical tune, for a stately dance on the deck of Mars Attacks!
8.a damn fine Simon & Garfunkel cover. Parseley, sage, rosemary and other weeds.
11.Erik Satie endures muted cymbal crashes? Isn't the saw weird enough?
7.piano/saw duet. Sad/mystery soundtrack
3.harp/saw duet with flute etc joining in later. Calm
1.they play Misty for you. Soft jazz.
4.Beatles hit survives
10.Gershwin makes the saw weep, not vice versa.
2.cheesiest of the lot
13.purdy. Kermit would approve.
5.The Bolshoi Ballet would not approve.
9.Did I say "Sweet Gerogia Brown" was the cheesiest? Whoops. This one has harmonicas.
6.doesn't live up to its potential
