Turning Ground, Old Country Store Bonfire Records Reviewed by: Kim Walter, Nov 2019 I lost my review for this album, but in the interest of being timely, let’s just say that this is overall a fun take on bluegrass. These guys have a slightly more approachable way of doing BG. Lots of spirit, even BG Blues (10) and BG honky tonk (5). My faves were: 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12. 2:04 Med - traditional Bluegrass 3:32 slow/med - ballad/spiritual with BG accents 3:00 med - title track. BG/mtn folk rock 2:41 med - trad BG, nice instrumental intro, banjo! 3:42 slow - BG version of honkey tomk 2:53 med - country rock with BG backing 2:30 med - banjo dominant (!!!( 3:52 slow - mellow mountain spiritual vibe 2:15 med/fast - trad BG 3:09 med - BG blues, if such a thing exists 2:48 med - trad BG 2:45 med - country rock with BG flourish 4:56 slow - classic country song | ||
