Epic stoner rock but slathered in creativity: prog moments that bring to mind Trans Am’s best stuff, with no fear of throwing in a synth or even a vocoder now and then.“Ghost:Hello is a synthed up stoner rock family affair from Northeast Ohio. Made up of a husband/wife duo and their cousin, the band members have been playing in bands for decades.” Great stuff, don’t miss. 1) (1:40) ethereal synth, intro 2) (3:20) killer drivin psych garage Stoney, chills toward end 3)* (5:03) same riff comes out of previous then launches into a great swingy bounce, falsetto type vocs appear 4)* (2:12) balls out rockin with screamed vocals take no prisoners 5)* (5:05) slower sparser but loaded with a bunch of fucked up samples, sequenced bass synth leads drums, KILLER 6) (4:50) strange slow dark deathly with bongos for percussion 7) (4:29) fuzzed guitar returns but this time with soaring synth and pitch changed weird vocals vocoder, last minute launches into an epic rockin jam 8) (4:44) cool upbeat jammin rocker, vocals reappear, last minute rocks out, blends into next 9) (5:24) blends out of previous, begins mindful and slow and meanders through heavy psych fuzz into a brief noise wash, beautiful. | ||
