Stuck in November – First Slice Of Cake Math rock RIYL: CHON, Floral, Toe, Clever Girl, Mermonte, TTNG, American Football, Totorro Summary: Sweet, sweet math rock hailing from Bangalore, India. Clean guitar tones, warm bass, and a playfulness to their time-signature changes. The musical equivalent of watching a sunrise from an airplane. Recommended Tracks: every track is lovely, but 4 and 5 are standouts No FCCs detected – instrumental other than samples on tracks 4 & 5 1. “Full Power” (3:32) [slow fadeout] Clean-toned guitars crisscross the melody. Ends with wall of reverb and shimmery synth lines 2. “Congratulations On Your Happiness” (3:10) [abrupt end] Prominent bassline and a healthy dose of guitar noodling - hopeful 3. “Birthdays” (4:42) [slow fadeout] A little slower and more thoughtful. Fluttery synths *4. “Strongs” (5:45) [abrupt end] Many moods – mostly has a cozy vibe, interspersed with fun start-stop rhythmic breakdowns *5. “Polyrhythmic Synth Jazz Simulation” (3:32) [very abrupt end] The most uptempo of the EP – fun and sunny.
