(CLEAN) 08. Molecules & Showbiz - Methadone Rap f. The Legion - Fat Beats Records: [87 BPM] This is east coast boom bap at it’s truest sense. Not extremely complex; punchy drums that do not change up a small sound effect for the riff and a light sprinkle of a short 2 note bassline. Couple that with some Biggy and Rakim cuts for the hook you get a very formulaic track yet catchy and will get your head noddin. Showbiz and The Legion on the lyrics touch upon the 80’s crack epidemic in NYC so if you want the hip hop perspective of what was happening with crack in the 80s be sure to give a listen.
