Oakland-based John Klopotowski performed recently on Wednesday Night Live, and last year’s debut, “Project 59,” was well played on KZSU. You’ll like this one too: all tracks are good. The new trio is Klopotowski with brothers Rave Tesar (piano) and Bill Tesar (drums). You can also clearly hear an uncredited bass throughout and an organ on track 8.

No FCC issues.

* Mid-slow. Easy going cover of a Sonny Rollins classic. Quite nice. (6:20)
Slow. Lovely, sleepy ballad. Miles did this one on “Someday My Prince…” (7:01)
Mid-slow. Original tune by pianist, features that instrument. “Cool” & pleasant. (6:22)
** Fast. Klopotowski original. Showy, technical interplay between guitar & piano. (5:09)
** Mid-tempo. Stylish reading of a showtune. Old fashioned, but quite nice. (7:21)
Very slow. Gentle lullaby on solo guitar. Rodgers/Hart tune is a jazz standard. (2:52)
Very slow. Late-night slow dance. Pretty melody; minimal accompaniment. (5:50)
* Mid-fast. Title track. Upbeat, happy. An organ joins the band. (7:16)
