The Melbournian jam and garage rock group comes out with another (9th) album. Nothing of theirs has ever topped ‘QUARTERS’ in my opinion (check it out on their Bandcamp), but this record shows some of the talent they have but also the droning repetitiveness of power cords which doesn’t excite me too much. They only began in 2010, so they are on their way to cranking out a lot of records! RIYL: Allah-las, Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Pond
FCC Clean Recommended: 2**, 7*, 8**, 9*

1 - (7:48) Rattlesnake – lots of repetitive powercords the whole time, chanting rattlesnake a lot, I think these guys are tripping on something…they get into a unique song about halfway
**2 - (5:27) Melting – back to their groovy selves, a killer drum line to a microtonal adventure on the keyboards, it’s a jam! Great bridge in the middle
3 - (7:14) Open Water -  another song similar to Rattlesnake where they have a ‘dark’ sounding repetitive jam going for a while
4 - (4:45) Sleep Drifter – feeling like I’m drifting just listening to this song for an Indian twang
5 - (3:35) Billabong Valley – they’ve got some crazy sitar or something in here
6 - (3:04) Anoxia – same power cords throughout this whole album…got some nice little riffs in here but still nothing special
*7 - (3:14) Doom City – a goofy little mix up between head bobbing chords to some heavy drops, one of the more tolerable jams on this album
**8 - (4:15) Nuclear Fusion – frightening groan at the beginning sets up one the best jams on the album
*9 - (2:34) Flying Microtonal Banana – another instance of the sitar – a great soundbed!
