(CLEAN) 08. Homeboy Sandman - It's Cold f. Steve Arrington - Stones Throw Records: [94 BPM] This is one of the first leaks from the May 2016 LP release of “Kindness For Weakness”. Homeboy Sandman on this track paints a picture of the harshness of NYC. The production is very traditional boom bap with heavy up front drums and a melodic keyboard riff. The hook/chorus from soul funk legend Steve Arrington is either something you will dig or possibly cringe when listening to it. Not until the end when his crooning hits the higher notes do you really associate his voice to those good of ‘Slave/Steve Arrington’ days. Solid track with a take it or leave it hook. – M-SMOOTH
