Amanaz WORLD
Africa 2010
One of my favorite Zam-rock (Zambia), this five-piece band released this record in 1975. It is filled with some delectable jams which permeate your soul and spirit, get up and groove! A raw garage-feel with great melodies in a low quality recording.
FCC Clean Recommended Tracks: 3, 4, 8, 10
1: Amanaz 2:40 instrumental track with killer bass line and synths
2: I am Very Far 3:22 jammy garage rock with smooth bass lines and silly lyrics
***3: Sunday Morning 4:59 REALLY groovy jam…the African Velvet Underground? mmm
****4: Khala My Friend 3:24 BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM! khallaaaa (Hint: There is a slower version available online if you can find it…way better)
5: History of Man 3:00 distortion heavy rock song
*6: Nsunka Lwendo 3:11 cool atmospheric song with African lyrics
7: Africa 4:28 dramatic song with male harmonies in African lyrics
**8: Green Apple 3:51 groovy wooden metronome with killer guitar riff!
9: Making The Scene 3:20 kind of silly lyrics with some nice guitar and synths
**10: Easy Street 3:33 mellow jam with some soul influence and inspiring lyrics
11: Big Enough 3:48 sounds like a Beach Boys song if they didn’t speak English with bass
*12: Kale 4:43 really low tempo African jam, high quality cut Evan Petkov 11/2015
