The Devil Wears Prada are back with a new EP about...space! Musically, it sounds very much like laterperiod TDWP: heavy riffs, judicious use of keyboards, and the interplay between Mike’s screams and Jeremy’s clean vocals. While this collection of songs may not have the divine inspiration of Plagues, it’s pretty catchy, and the writing feels smoother and more organic than some of the recent records. I like it! RIYL: Killswitch Engage, early Attack Attack, mature bands trying something different.

FCC Clean!

Favorite tracks: 1, 2, 6

1. Long intro (1:00), catchiest riff, lyrics about an astronaut who gets lost in space

2. Reminds me of their Zombie ep, lyrics about a threatening alien

3. :40s intro. Slower. Reminds me more of Roots Above era.

4. Filler instrumental with “radiosounding” vocals

5. Pretty catchy, starts right away. More emphasis on clean vocals.

6. I love the spoken part towards the end where Mike is listing all the people and things he’ll miss when the world ends. Great closer!
