Debut from 18-year-old Bridie Monds-Watson, better known as SOAK, an Irish singer-songwriter born in Derry, Northern Ireland. This record is incredible. Beyond beautiful vocals, haunting lyrics, super interesting instrumentation. Truly great. FCC CLEAN!! Recommended Tracks: **2**, 3, 7, **8**, **11** 1. (1:06) "My Brain" - Ambient, cello 2. (4:50) B A Nobody - This may be my favorite, super pretty, great melody, great lyrics. 3. (2:47) Blud - Another gorgeous song. Love her voice, great falsetto, cool harmonies. 4. (4:00) Wait - Very pretty string and piano accompaniment. Dark song. 5. (3:12) Sea Creatures - Slightly more upbeat, electric base and wave sounds. 6. (0:58) "A Dream To Fly" - Ambient. 7. (4:00) 24 Windowed House - Vocals and acoustic guitar, great story. 8. (3:12) Garden - Fuller sound with more awesome harmonies and beautiful piano melody, upbeat strumming and drumming. 9. (3:27) Shuvels - Downtempo again, minimal more of the same. 10. (3:11) Hailstones Don't Hurt - Distant vocals, drum machine, keyboard. 11. (3:16) Reckless Behaviour - Midtempo strumming, feels more Best Coasty, builds half way through, great. 12. (1:04) "If Everyone Is Someone - No One Is Everyone"- Ambient. 13. (7:21) Oh Brother - Epic and distant and sad. Falls silent about 5 mins in and then there is a hidden track at the end. | ||
