A batch of mild mannered protest songs (except 4, 8, 15 which are more personal).
It’s an all acoustic album of activist, liberal, feminist, oldster, folk music.
The recordings are all simple and direct. It’s nice solid playing…
If you need a waltz, she does a bunch of ‘em: 6,8, 10, 18 and 20 are in 3/4 time (or maybe slow 12/8).
Tracks 11 & 14 are both kinda bluesy…
Number 5 is march tempo retelling of Civil War era California Black History.
Track 9 is moody and intense. My pick. Having to deal with living out of a car.
