The entire album sounds like a much less somber version of some of Band of Horses’ older stuff. It’s got some folk elements to it, but for the most part it’s soft rock and indie. Good stuff!
FCC clean!
Favorites: 4, 5
1. Upbeat, very organic, almost a hint of folk. I could imagine hearing some clips of this on random TV commercials. My feet couldn’t stop tapping to this.
2. Begins with some percussions, follows by some lyrics, eventually leads to the full instrumental. Makes you feel carefree, almost wanting to dance.
3. Begins with acoustic guitar, makes it sound soft. Drums lead in and raise the feeling of the song. Again, makes me tap my feet. Still a good amount of acoustic guitar throughout the song.
4. Begins slow with an easy instrumental, works up to a solid set of verses. Much more somber than the other songs, but still not necessarily depressing or down. Chorus vocals are higher pitched and catchy, vocals and lyrics match well.
5. Begins with soft acoustic guitar and mellow vocals. The entire song stays with this
