Irish Rockabilly Queen: How is that the Brits/Irish do American Roots music almost better than us? (think Stones, Beatles, Alvin Lee, Fleetwood Mac…). May recently collaborated with Jeff Beck on a tribute to Les Paul that was incredible, bringing her into my radar. She would do well to work with Link Wray, Stray Cats, X, even Julee Cruise. But you could play this CD with them. Simply: Rip Roaring Rockabilly, played and produced well, killer guitar, nice 50’s sock hop slow dance numbers too.

1) (3:01) bouncy rockin, heavy feel
2) (2:32) spooky surf Halloween tone, think Munsters theme riffs
3) (3:50) country blues feel, mellower with nice positive chorus
4) (4:35) slow dark bluesy swing
5) (3:36) 50’s slow dance romantic prettiness
6) (3:26) sinister dark heavy rockin
7) 2:42) driving chugging rockin rockabilly
8) (3:40) big swampy backbeat fun
9) (3:51) Carmen Miranda big tropical retro flare with muted trombone lending total smarminess
10) (3:07) 12 bar boogie rock, more contemporary feel
11) (2:53) fun upbeat chorus contrasted by mean riffy verses
12) (3:14) rip roaring upright bass rockabilly w/ sexy smarmy middle breakdown, smokin’!
