Edit of a rare 2009 Gnod tape called The Somnambulist's Tale. Side A more whimsical, folky, much more Ren Faire than the bombastic Chaudelande we were recently treated to, side B adds a tribal element to the mix. It's not drone, but the repetitive grooves will get you to a similar place. No FCCs noted in the spoken samples.

RIYL Tangerine Dream, 3 Leafs, Eternal Tapestry

*1 (18:18) Initially ominous then locks into a nice, hypnotic groove. Bright melodica and synths over barely decipherable spoken word and typewriter banging away (vox+typewriter exit after a few minutes). Very organic sounding, earthy. Flute (or a similar instrument), tabla feature later on. Spacy whirring synth drone takes over before groove resumes with tambourine.

**2 (18:30) Awesome bass/tabla groove with effected, buried chants and effected guitars, before the conversation/typewriter/tambourine/synths from side A join a more restrained bass/tabla. Second half intensifies slowly as guitar makes its presence known.
