Another killer album from Toronto’s Kennedy, maybe his best. Penetrating lyrics, solid music. Instrumentation of banjo, harmonica, percussion, keys; almost all acoustic. Unique blues, w/ a bit of funk, country, folk, gospel. Incredible stuff. No FCC’s. *My Favorites*: All of ‘em. 1. (4:38) Mid. Hip and hypnotic, easy-going gait. 2. (2:48) Mid. Taj Mahal-ish, rubberband vibe. 3. (5:38) Slow. Deep, dark, sparse. Serious Blues. 4. (3:19) Mid. Old-timey / modern country blues. 5. (2:48) Slow / Mid. Sparse, gospel vibe. 6. (2:52) Mid.
