Techno-meister Luke Slater does it again with an incredibly rich EP of three tracks that goes to the darkest recesses of your mind. Slater challenges you to go to those haunted places by putting in tons of psychedelic and spooky tones and chimes. These aren't standard techno bangers, as there's a lot of attention paid to sound textures and setting up a certain mood. I enjoyed them all, especially "No Exit" (#1) and "Nanendi" (#3).

1. "No Exit" (6:44) - Rolling bass beats and lots of shimmering chime tones that build up intensity. This track gets very manic when the acid/analog tweaks are added. A psychedelic trip for sure.
2. "Undertow" (6:57) - There's a ton of stuff going on - percussion, chimes, bells, and all sorts of assorted noises. It's manic, intense, psychotic even. Sinister, multilayered, and very rich with all sorts of sound textures.
3. "Nanendi" (5:12) - Techno made from the creepy sounds you'd hear walking in the forest late at night - cricket chirps, winds, and all sorts of spooky primitive sounds. Makes your skin crawl.
