Legend Mavis Staples with her second album in a row produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, and it’s a killer. Mavis’ vcls are both tender and powerful as is the material. Comprising many genres: gospel, blues, folk, funk, soul. Incredible stuff!!! No FCC’s.

2. (4:02) Slow / Mid. Haunting w/ folky, work-song, gospel vibes.
3. (2:57) Mid. Funkadelic classic. Funky, soulful upbeat romp.
4. (4:47) Slow / Mid. Mellow acoustic gtr w/ backing vcls.
5. (2:56) Mid. Folky blues w/ back vcls.
6. (4:04) Mid. Plodding beat, heavenly vibe, harmonizing.
7. (2:51) Slow / Mid. Bluesy slide gtr, harmonizing. Killer!!!
8. (3:57) Mid. Mean, funky trance strut.
9. (2:56) Mid. Upbeat folky gospel romp.
10. (3:43) Slow / Mid. Title track. Mellow acoustic folk.
