Artist: Moira Scar -- Album: Scarred For Life
For fans of deathrock, weird dark gothic rock, experimental rock, and the frequent use of dissonance and sax makes me think No-Wave also. Psychedelic electronic noises and twinklings tastefully dispersed throughout most songs. Whole album is solid. SF LOCAL BAND!!! No FCCs detected. You should play 6,7,9, but my faves were 5,10.
.) * Trickling psychedelic noises into slightly dissonant pulsating disorienting dark rock
.) Sax drums bass, falsetto male vocals, some bleeps and boops and an organ
.) First 90 seconds plods along, then we get some Siouxsie-esque vocals and psych + sax noises
.) * Simple post-punky jam with at least 15 pieces of flair
.) * * * Gothic dirge with high female(?) vox, peppered with emotional outbursts, shoegazey bridge
.) * * Cutesy creepy odd little jam with deathrock-style fem vox, are we playing a kazoo here???
.) * * Deathrock with light psych sounds, vox are weird like a guy trying to sing fem deathrock style. UPTEMPO
.) * Emotive slow circus organ creeper. The downbeat is slow but hits heavy.
.) * * Ephemeral fem vox twirling with ambient and pysch sounds with an avant-goth rock bit in the middle
.) * * * Awesome weird organ jam! Different from the rest of the album and the least "goth" song for sure. Imagine riding on a carnival carousel tripping balls on acid…
