Coll: Compounds 0.1 Remixes Label: Punch Music
Release #20 from Punch Music is an EP that features 3 different remixes that takes the listener in 3 different directions. The first one is a cheerfully twisted remix by John Tejada, a big-name producer of tech-house, the second is an epic main-room anthem, and the third is a hypnotic & mysterious latenight Euro-club track. Tejada's remix is my favorite cut on this EP (#1 - "Furio"), but feel free to try the other two just for a comparison and see what fits your style.
1. A bath of brilliant casio-tones & happy bright synths, but the arrangement & bassline has the edgy and slightly evil John Tejada sound. It's interesting because if the synths were mixed by anyone else, it would be cheery lovey house. But in John's hands it's brainy and somehow a bit twisted. Love it.
2. A bit epic - main-room progressive vibe. Melodic synths and long breakdowns & buildups. This is a nice big club anthem.
3. Starts off very minimalist, then the synths & effects kick in and gets a bit more hypnotic. There's definitely an Ibiza-esque late-night sensibility to this track.
