This disc assembles songs by contemporary Irish composers: Ina Boyle (1889-1967); Elaine Agnew (b. 1967); Seoirse Bodley (b. 1933); Anne-Marie O’Farrell (b. 1966); Rhona Clarke (b. 1958); and John Buckley (b. 1951). The themes of the poem settings include love, dreams, fantasy, the occult, conflict, nature, childhood, and death. The two principal artists, Aylish Kerrigan and pianist Dearbhla Collins, specialize in Irish ballads and folk settings.
