Dustin O'Halloran is a contemporary classical pianist who makes very relaxing, almost ambient music. This is great, late night music that will affect you without realizing it until the music stops. Listening to this album is a lot like watching a Terence Malick movie. It has a very calming effect, and at times you feel like you're in the midst of a religious experience, and then afterward the memory of the experience resembles that of a dream.

1) (6:19) Slow paced, melancholic song with sweeping strings accompanied by sparse piano notes.
2) (2:48) Solo piano, slow, deliberate pacing.
3) (3:10) Piano in foreground playing an evocative melody that sounds immediately familiar. Violin and some other sounds in the background accentuate and elevate the drama.
4) *(3:13) Song dominated by the string section, again the song moves at a deliberate pace. The difference between the climax in the denouement is only a few decibels, but man does it pack an emotional punch.
5) (6:30) A relentless 10 BPM attack led by a piano and accompanied by strings.
6) *(5:12) Solo violinist accompanied by more stringed friends plays a striking tune. Then its somber brother the piano comes in and plays a melancholic tune, which inspires the string section to accentuate him, elevating the drama.
7) *(3:30) Starts off with echoing piano in tandem with a regular piano. Strings come in, wash away the echoing piano. What sounds like a harpsichord comes in, plays a catchy melody. Then it gets washed away by strings, which dim then swell up again to reach the climax.
8) (6:05) Solitary piano piece, and since it has no accompaniment it creates drama and tension with a change in tempo and tone. Starts off at a medium pace, ends at a slow one.
9) (6:34) A calm, serene piece to end the album.
