This is an excellent mix of jazz/improv, international, fusion & progressive rock bits. Comparable to bits of later period Gong & John Scofield but this dude here plays a double neck guitar. One neck is fretted while the other isn’t. The results are quite remarkable.

((((1)))) Slow, very late 70’s & maaaybe good mid-80’s guiitar jazz mixed with some fusion bits. Steady bass with a mix of slow wailing & general noodling on the 6-string.
((((((2)))))) funky, fusion-ish & proggy with some bits sounding like some Russian or Greek traditional dance music. Rad!
((((3)))) Sounds a bit like traditional Chinese music (hence the title) mixed with some slow-moving funky fusion. Dig the wah-wah guitar action, too.
(((4))) Slow, mellow bass, guitar & cymbals brushes. Pretty nice.
((((5)))) A sitar-like effect (yet not sitar is listed on the credits. Hmmm...) with a slight upbeat feeling. The percussion sounds a bit drum n’ bass like, too. Best parts are the simple like guitar note progressions - aka: getting a lot of out 1-2 notes.
(((6)))) A slow meandering waltz of violin, bass & guitar bits that later get more in the louder fusion-y vein ‘ala Return to Forever.
((((7)))) More on the prog-side with a hint of lightly slapped bass. Occasionally sounding like snippets of King Crimson or even some 70’s hard rock but it’s predominately fusion.
((((8)))) Celtic sounding flute with bagpipe sounds (like the sitar it’s not listed but likely replicated via programming). It later uses a clarinet & a Klezmer & Arabic sounding horn for a more Eastern feel & the drumming also gets more lively.
((((9)))) Electronic high-pitched, table-like sound, some Arabic or possibly Indian sounding guitar scales & some more fusion like.
A very nice mix, indeed.
(((10))) Slow, standard jazz-guitar chords with some twangy notes & cello thrown in for good measure. Once again getting a lot of mileage out of very few notes
