Highly-acclaimed third studio album from Yves Tumor—experimental, electronic, art rock, industrial, R&B, put-everything-in-a-blender producer extraordinaire. Ten tracks of all-encompassing beautifully dark soundscapes. Difficult and sonically dense but arresting and profound. Yves Tumor tours frequently with Mykki Blanco and cites Throbbing Gristle as his biggest influence. For fans of Dean Blunt, Arca, Chino Amobi, Grouper, Andy Stott, Gang Gang Dance, Raime, and Hype Williams. FCC on track 7. You can’t really go wrong, but start with 2, 9, 4, 3, or 5.

1. (1:33) Disorienting looped horn samples and a plodding drumbeat *2. (4:56) Blistering synthesizers, crashing drums, static washes and eerie vocal effects. Transitions into an abstract R&B ballad. Reminds me of Burial at his finest *3. (5:01) Desperate vocals over a dark, skittering techno loop *4. (3:29) Old-time orchestra samples form the backbone of this police brutality protest anthem. Despite the subject matter, the song structure is swingier and more pop-aligned than the others. *5. (4:38) Futuristic stripped-down folk. Fluttery guest vocals from James K 6. (3:43) Percussion-dominant art rock with orchestra samples swirling in the background 7. (4:56) FCC (fuck) Gruesome spoken word over a desolate violin melody, static, and screaming 8. (4:49) Lo-fi acoustic rock with moaned vocals. Punctuated by patches of noise and distortion *9. (3:22) Driving staticy beat with echoey mumbled lyrics. Funky 80s synth chords and string samples 10. (5:32) Harsh noise blended into a psychrock freakout. Pained vocals and horns
