Blues/R&B/soul singer, songwriter, guitarist. Age 63, and this is his debut album. For a large chunk of his life, he supported himself as a carpenter, such a waste, as this release shows. Nine tracks, seven are originals. Like the title says, “age don’t mean a thing.” Backed by some great Memphis musicians. Great “lived in” voice, good style. Some nice retro nods to 50s, 60s, and 70s.

*1. Midtempo big band horns into a R&B jam w/70s era flair.
*2. Down & dirty head lowdown head-nodder.
3. Mid/upbeat soul-infused love song.
*4. Downtempo love lament.
5. Organ adds a touch of gospel to midtempo soul cry.
*6. Upbeat boogaloo jam.
*7. Classic ballad by Bread given a blues moan. So good.
8. Big horns leading into mid/up jam.
*9. Slow & serious w/lots of soul.
