Statik Selektah laced a beast of a track for Joell Ortiz. Classic breakbeat over a guitar riff, and vocal samples from Lil Fame (M.O.P) screaming the song’s title “I roll deep like a mother**kin’ Puerto Rican” and Frankie Cutlass classic “Puerto Rico” provide the Slaughterhouse emcee to literally kill the track with brutal lyricism delivered with calm and cool ferocity. In addition, if one listens closely, Statik manages to incorporate reggaton elements from Tego Calderon to spice up the joint. A definite banger for the heads.
